Ingredients

  • 1 can Trappey’s Creole Okra Gumbo (15 oz)
  • 1 can Trappey’s Seasoned Black Beans, drained and rinsed (15.5 oz)
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes (homemade or prepared)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • In a greased 2-quart baking dish, layer Trappey’s Seasoned Black Beans on the bottom.
  • Spoon the Trappey’s Creole Okra Gumbo evenly over the beans.
  • Spread mashed potatoes smoothly over the top layer.
  • Dot the surface with butter and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, or until the potatoes are lightly golden and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
  • Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
