
Creole Veggie Shepherd’s Pie
Southern-flavored shepherd’s pie full of veggie goodness.
Ingredients
- 1 can Trappey’s Creole Okra Gumbo (15 oz)
- 1 can Trappey’s Seasoned Black Beans, drained and rinsed (15.5 oz)
- 4 cups mashed potatoes (homemade or prepared)
- 1 tbsp butter
- salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a greased 2-quart baking dish, layer Trappey’s Seasoned Black Beans on the bottom.
- Spoon the Trappey’s Creole Okra Gumbo evenly over the beans.
- Spread mashed potatoes smoothly over the top layer.
- Dot the surface with butter and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 25 minutes, or until the potatoes are lightly golden and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
- Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
